Repair - Recaro RZ

I bought a set of used Recaro RZ bucket seats last April that came out of a Eunos Roadster RS Ltd. The RS Ltd had a small production run of 500 cars and the main attractions was a set of these carbon fibre kevlar Recaro bucket seats.

As the seats are kicking on for around 17 years old now the driver side bolster had started to wear quite badly. I put tape over the damaged area last year but I have always wanted to get the bolster fixed. I dropped the seat off at a specialist in Hinckley recently and I picked the seat up today. When I spoke to the specialist he said that it would be hard to match the cloth as it has faded over time, so instead I had two leather patches sown on. I am extremely happy with the result.

The leather won't wear like the cloth did and it has a quality feel to it. The next job is to glue the broken seat belt guide on the passenger seat and then use to back to black on the plastic.
